so first and foremost im gonna welcome myself to the staff. im kat; you probably know me from the comments section but if you dont, all you really need to know is that i like glitter and attention.
anyway, one of my main problems is excess. i feel like i need too much stuff. so as a challenge to myself, im starting up a series of capsule wardrobe posts inspired by different cities, just in time for vacations to start. im kicking it off with my "hometown," (it's actually like 30 miles away but whatever it's the only northern californian city anyone knows) san francisco.
san franciscan street style has a quirky, smart-yet-cool look to it, like steve jobs meets daphne from scooby doo meets van halen.
here are the pieces i decided to let myself use. in real life, this is just enough to fit in a reasonably small suitcase while leaving room for other stuff. it's probably less than one would realistically pack for a 5-day trip, but i'm being optimistic. also, i only have so many hooks in my display room.
(this outfit looks soooo similar to my first one; heres proof i can barely work with a wardrobe this tiny!)
there are two items i didnt end up using- the amore necklace and the metal embellished pants. i found neither of them really fit with the outfits i managed to create. so packing tip for this post: pack smart. if youre worried, stick within a color scheme. this way, instead of just picking out outfits, you'll have a solid wardrobe to choose from and will probably end up saving space. if i'd made 5 san fransisco inspired outfits, this wardrobe would no longer be a capsule.
i've blabbed enough. see yall next time!
