Why hello there everyone!
Lets talk a bit about the 80s, shall we?
Not only was it acceptable to cake on your makeup back then but it was the trend!
Make-up was literally painted onto
faces, hair was back-combed to new heights and no colour was too
bright for the fashionable female.
Today I'm going to show you a tutorial on how to do an 80s inspired look. It's the total opposite of Terry's tutorial since it isn't the most wearable look ever.
○Start with a blank canvas. There is nothing worse than shifting face masks, hair and jewellery.
○ Bold lips were a given. I went for a deep purple colour.
○ Going easy on the eyeliner, brows and lashes was unheard of! Darken those features as much as possible. No 80s look is complete without winged eyeliner.
○Next I used a light purple to cover the whole lid. A maroon/brown colour on top and some bright yellow at the edges to make it pop!
○Forget sun-kissed skin - being pale was all the rage. People longed for that pale and striking look and used foundation 2 shades lighter to try achieve it!
○ Cake on that motorway dark coloured blusher to stand out on your pale skin.
○ Finally add some over-sized earrings and a big hair-do and you're ready for that disco!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial ♥
