Antidote was released this morning at eight o'clock for those of us in the eastern United States and unfortunately I missed a huge chunk of what I wanted. However, Miki was gracious enough to gift me things that were on my wishlist that weren't sold out! I'm super grateful.
Children's shows are very inspiring to me, namely Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse but I thought I'd start with one a little more widely known...The Powerpuff Girls!
Bubbles - So the first outfit from left to right is my take on a modernized Bubbles look. The color of her outfit in the cartoon is blue, so I made that the main focus of this outfit. It's accessorized with gold, pairing LE booties with the Antidote 'hip bag' but we all know those are called fanny packs.
Blossom - This outfit is a little bit of a stretch. Blossom's main color in her outfit is a coral pink, but I went with more of a blush color. For this outfit, I used the Antidote Margiela inspired jacket over top of a one piece from Nelly to create a hot pants look.
Buttercup - Buttercup is my personal favorite of the three Powerpuff girls, because even children's shows need a healthy dose of teen angst. Instead of making green the focus of this outfit, I went with a black look. I always image Buttercup as being the most influenced by street style, so I went with baggy pants paired with an Antidote Bandeau. The jacket and glasses incorporate the green as an accent color.
