Color Schemes


Hello! I'm really excited to be writing my first post for SDC. I'm pretty sure a lot of people already know me from the comments, but I'm Karly. I have my own blog called Kahlo Me and I'd describe my style as old lady glam, with my credits to Midge from Barbie: Life in The Dream House And Nicole Dollanganger as my style inspirations. 

Anyways. 

For my first post I'll be going over some nice color schemes...with a little help from Kat. Thanks for the tips and suggestions! 


Outfit #1 - Going left to right, the first outfit has a neutral color palette. Olive green and beige is one of my favorite combinations of color. The embellishments on the jacket of this outfit bring a nice pop of color to the ensemble to make it work. 

Outfit #2 - This would be my favorite of the three color schemes I worked with today. I chose a purple toned navy color to work with, and the top was the base for this outfit. I then consulted Kat for a nice pairing for this color, and blush pink was a great suggestion. Since there are many pink accessories, I used a purple and navy bag to pull the look together. 

Outfit #3 - The final outfit has a darker look than the others. The colors I've chosen to pair come from the color blocked Hot Buys top the mannequin is wearing. I've used an army green color paired with black and light pink, which I think is a pretty daring combo but given the right doll it could  definitely work.
